Trust returns when the persons actions are no longer in violation with their words.
When the person stops engaging in behaviour that makes then untrustworthy.

First you must gain the trust you had in yourself before you can gain it in others. From what you said it doesnt really sound like you have total trust in yourself right now. So I suggest you spend some ME time and learn and understand why you have lost trust then after you know whats wrong exactly try to fix it then. THis will take you as long as you need to convice yourself that you are a trust worthy person again. ITs not something you can fake so it might take awhile but then again maybe you'll have a revelation and it'll only take a day who knows. I would start with Asking for forgiveness from the ones I have hurt and myself that is a good start. Next I would demonstate with actions that I wouldnt make the same mistake again if possible.

A RIGHT answer? Well I doubt you'll get one. You want to be told you'll be forgiven but the truth is it depends on how severely you betrayed someone's trust.
Frankly, if you betray me I will never trust you again, not in the way I would have BEFORE hand anyhow. I will know you are weak and can't be trusted so I doubt I would ever consider you a confident again.
I'm willing to have faith in people, and everyone is human, but frankly if you don't want to be hurt by something you tell someone, don't tell them. It's as simple as that.
If you did something REALLY bad...just know that people will snub you just because you did that. It has nothing to do with forgiving you, it has to do with WANTING to have a reason to snub you if you know what I mean. You know the type of people who just want to laugh in your face...and you've gone and given them a reason to now.
Sometimes you have to cut your losses and walk away and start over with new friends and relationships.
If the hurt is too bad, all you can do is say I'm sorry and walk away and wait till the person gets over it, but there is no guarantee they will...or should really.

First you need to admit your mistake if it is. Then make up the loss incurred through deeds, through sacrifices in any form which might console the party.
It takes time similar to healing a wound, some need stiching, some need an ointment and takes time to heal accordingly.
It also depends how soft or how hard hearted is your party to get back to normal.
Do your Best Good Luck.

Depending on the circumstances... and to what
extent your actions were....
for some people, you'll never regain their 'trust'...
for some , it'll take a couple of days..... and yet ,
others... weeks .
Everyone is different.... and especially when it
comes such matters as 'trust' or 'love' !
Hanging in there and improving on your actions
wouldn't hurt in the healing !!!!
Good Luck !!!

Living example - Captain Jack Sparrow - Pirates Of The Caribbean
He has never trusted, therefore he never feels betrayed. No one trusts him, therefore it is easy to betray him

There is no 'right' answer, because the time and effort it takes to be trusted varies from person to person and from situation to situation. You MUST have realized that.

think of what you done to lose that trust, and then you have to figure what would be required to regain it.There is no answer to the amount of time it would take or if it could ever be regained, that is all up to the one you offended. The important factor here is that you yourself learn from it,and that will be or should be your biggest satisfaction of all.

Depends on what it was and each of the people.
When someone breaks my trust, they don't get it back.
First time, shame on you...
Second time, shame on me...
