Players scream out on pop ups all the time. This is totally Clarks fault. These guys know the sound of their team mates voice and they dont scream "HAH" or "mine" when they call a guy off. If Clark got distracted or confused with "HAH" then that is HIS fault nobody elses. This isnt bush league. This is baseball. Bush league is more associated with physical harm to a player such as the attempt to take someone out of the play. The only reason this is even a big deal is because its A.Rod.

Nope it was not legitimate it shows how classless the Yankees are as an organization and you know it's bad when your manager says you shouldn't have done that. But it also shows how desperate the classless Yankees are to win since they can't win in conventional ways. So they need to distract infielders trying to catch a pop-up? It's called pathetic. By the way the next time they play A-rod better be prepared to have a bruise somewhere. So, what if Clemens is coming back he can't even hit 90 mph anymore he ain't going to do jack **** for yankees except maybe win 3-5 game and lose about 8-10 games.

First of all it is not interference when it happens at the level of play, although it is at the HS and little league levels (for safety).
Next, it is not an illegal play but it is dirty and those kind of things come back to you in your time.(brushback pitch, high spike slide, etc.)
Finally I thought it would have been funny if the ball had struck Rodriguez after the third baseman dodged it. He would have been called out for it althought the ball passed a fielder the fielder wwould be hindered by the physical touching of the ball by the runner.

there was no problem with what he did, if thats the case, than lets nail the guy on 2nd base who is stealing signs from the catcher or that person trying to take the 2nd baseman or shortstop out on a double play. i mean if the 3rd baseman was concentrating like he should have been, then he should of caught the ball, i mean he is in the majors for a reason...

I agree. There is nothing wrong with what A-Rod did. The video showed he didn't yell "mine" or anything that should have caused the 3rd baseman to move. The 3rd baseman should be embarrassed and ashamed for making such a big deal about his own screwup

i think there was no problem with what he did...there's no rule against it, and the third baseman and shortstop should know what's going on anyways...i think the ball was caught in the lights and the retractable roof at the time, and neither of the infielders really saw it...and then out of frustration they blamed a-rod for doing something, whether it was calling the ball or maybe interfering with them or something

There's two rulebooks in baseball: written and unwritten. What A-Rod did was against one of the unwritten rules, which is why many people refer to it as "Bush League". I find it a Bush League play, but it's no worse than stealing a base in the 8th inning when your team is winning by more than 6 runs. It doesn't happen often, but when it does happen, everyone will complain about sportsmanship. If Jeter did it, he would be further regarded as a hero who would do anything for his team to win, but since it was A-Rod, he's further vilified.

There is nothing wrong with it. The third baseman wasn't even under the ball in the first place.

While definitely looked down upon, A-Rod did not break any rules. Only High School has a rule governing verbal interference. It is the fielder's responsibility to know who his teammates are.
