Technically. Uppercase letters are difficulty to read. This is how alphabets evolved. With script languages, uppercase letters are more time consuming and are equivalent to printing not writing. As an adult, I write more than I print. Writing is a more efficient form of communication.
In terms of efficiency, many people who use computers do not "type" in an efficient manner such as a touch typist person would. The two finger typist is likely to prefer all uppercase or all lowercase to bypass the lack of this skill.
Generally, all uppercase is consider "YELLING".

SHOULD AN EDITOR REMOVE LOWER CASE LETTERS.?
I HOPE THAT IS NEVER DONE,IT IS A KIND OF GETTING DUMBER TO DO THAT.HARDLY ANYBODY KNOWS ANYMORE WHAT THE PURPOSE OF THE CAPITAL LETTERS ARE. WITH "TALKING "ON THE COMPUTER THE CHILDREN SOON DON'T KNOW HOW TO SPELL ANYMORE.,BECAUSE THEY USE ACRONYMS.
