I used to, I think you sort of grow out of it as you get older. It has to do with confidence. They little secret I found out, is that people just want to be listened to. If you make it a point to listen to other people and talk about them, people love to talk about themselves. I'm not saying make these people your close friends, but when you are at a large gathering or some other place with a bunch of people and you feel left out, just ask people about themselves.

Yes, especially with my family. I'm not as outgoing as them, so when I go to family parties I feel left out. Sometimes it's the same thing at work, because I'm not really young or really old, I have no one to relate to.
It's okay though, I found one person I can enjoy and feel like I belong and that is around my boyfriend. :D

specific I certainly have certainly, yet no longer for it sluggish. it style of feels to me which you haven't any longer have been given loads of a call in this one. Having a organic pull to go you onward shouldn't skipped over. There ought to be some thing waiting for you someplace else. that's to no longer say you ought to wander aimlessly directionless. shop up some money, hit upon a shuttle chum and %. a trip spot you have a organic reaction to. The barren area, the mountains, artist commune, large undesirable city, who knows? existence is short, take a small danger and in all hazard locate your destiny.

Yes. Sometimes no matter where i am and who i am with i feel 'different' but that's not because i don't belong... it's usually because i'm just not having a good day and don't feel too good anyway. sometimes it does matter who i'm with. when i'm in a pub surrounded by drunks i feel like i don't belong because i don't drink. when i'm with a bunch of older, straight middle class female friends i feel like i don't belong because i'm younger, gay and working class! but actually... it's only ever about my own views of myself and my own self-esteem.

I am hispanic and everytime I go out with my co-workers(all caucasian) my husband and I feel very left out and we really don't belong. I guess its cuz everyone has thier group and we aren't in any of them. Sometimes I wish I were, though.

sure- and I'm sure I've not had the last time, either. Earlier today I met some coworkers at a bar, and no one else in the bar looked like me. For some reason it really bothered me today (it doesn't always), so I left. It was weird, but today, I just didn't feel like dealing with it.

I am wondering why I am still alive. It does not feel right. I feel like I no longer belong here and I have no purpose.

Yes, especially now. Because I'm living in Portugal, and I'm not Portuguese, I don't understand their culture and I don't understand the language so of course that I feel that.
