There are a bunch of projects going on, including City Center by MGM Mirage, which is located between the Monte Carlo and the Bellagio. It is the most expensive privately funded construction project in U.S. history.

For all of the details on the current projects in Las Vegas go to:

At the moment on the strip heading north from Mandalay Bay:
1.Between Monte Carlo and Bellagio are two different projects; the biggest one is MGMs "City Center", the smaller project which will have two 600ft towers is called "Cosmopolitan"
2.Of course the Aladdin has become Planet Hollywood so there is still a bit of construction going on out the front there. Behind the Aladdin two 600ft condo towers are currently under construction.
3. The Venetian is adding a new tower called the "Palazzo". At over 650ft it will be the tallest hotel in Vegas when completed later this year.
4.The Wynn is adding a new 650ft tower called "Encore".
5.As you mention Trump is almost done, get ready for Trump tower 2 which should be ready for groundbreaking late 2007.
6.Frontier hotel has only a month left and then its history. A new hotel "Plaza las Vegas" will be built in its place.
7.Echelon Place a huge project containing massive towers will start construction on the old Stardust site any day now.
8.Fontainebleau between Rivera and Sahara is already well under construction. When built in late 2009 it will be the tallest hotel in Las Vegas at approx 750ft.
9.The Las Vegas Tower at 1888ft is at the planning stage and approval should come early July. It will be built on the old Wet and Wild water park site, just south of the Sahara hotel.

There are loads of other non-strip construction projects such as Turnberry towers, Palms Place, Juhl Lofts etc going up round vegas as we speak.

Las Vegas is currently under construction, in the process of building condos and more casinos. the newest casino that opened up to my knowledge is the Planet Hollywood Casino. and they are still under construction. Las Vegas is an intransit state, meaning alot of people either drive thru or move to this town, so constant building and construction is going to be around for a while.

That is one thing that never stops in this town. Construction.
Stardust is gone and under development.
This is one place where they demo a building on Monday and begin a new construction project on Monday afternoon.
It is an incredible city with so much energy.
There was a time I was here and left for about three months.
When I came home a new strip mall and condo development was done and ready for business.

Amazing. never seen this before in the USA>
