*Well first of all they're not called FRIENDS :):)

Second: I think it's about high time you confront this so called user of a friend of yours, and the next time he asks for something of you or from you. Tell him something like this:

."Alright _____(his name) look, I don't mind being a good friend and helping you out when you or anyone else needs me. Except lately I have noticed that YOU in particular, seem to have a problem ever returning the favor(s) and frankly it's beginning to make me wonder if you're not just using me.
.I don't like to be rude, but it does seem like you only want to call me when your in between a rock and a hard place, and other than that you never call just to hang out or anything...it's only when you WANT something from me.?!" "Why is that?"

THEN say:

"I still want to be friends and stuff, but if you have to give a little to get a little ok? And if you can't start owning up to your part of the friendship and returning the favors, then I'm not going to help you out anymore....sorry, but I can't."

.......I know this all sounds harsh and what not, but the truth has to come out sometime right?.....

good luck.
