Wishing is a form of Sorcery that is highly dangerous as each wish is subject to personal interpretation and folklore says that Djinnis were quite adept at twisting the request to cause mischief.
Best not to wish for anything. Rather it's best to focus your entire being on what it is you DO WANT and go for it. Set your priorities and just have at it.
One reason why Wishing doesn't work for the average person is because they misuse and abuse the word 'Wish' all the time. "Oh I wish you'd stop that" or "I wish I had time to go there" or "I wish he'd just leave me alone"
Stupid to overuse a word like that. Rather use different words in place of wish and that way you build up the power of your very own wishes so when you use one, it's a powerful form of manifestation tool.

Wishes are tough business.
Wish for world peace and who knows what would happen. You could end up alone on the earth - or even you would be taken. Or you could wake up in a world from of annoying automatons. At the very least, you'd be interfereing with the free will of others who whether they are idiots of not, deserve a choice.
Wealth? Hum. I think the IRS would nip that in the bud.
Your soul mate? What if they are a jerk (I know mine is) :)
If I had one wish, I'd wish for my dream job - to have something to do with my life that i was perfectly suited to and that made me happy and fit all my needs. Something that would bring in a comfortable amount of cash and not suck out the soul.

That the world be at peace and everyone get along, make love not war be peaceful and happy with each other, no discrimination, no hunger, no poverty, no murder, no rape, no crime period...
The world would be a much better place if all of the human species learn to get along with one another we are all the same species human....
