yes. the only form of birth control 100% effective is abstinence. if you are new to the pill then it takes 1 month to get your body used to the hormones to be effective. also, if you are on the pill, still make the guy use a condom to protect both of you from STD's.

There is NO 100% effective birth control besides total abstinence. That's just the way it is. I know people who have become pregnant on pretty much every form of birth control. It's not foolproof by any means. I even have a friend who got pregnant 14 years after she was sterilized. Yep.

Yes you can!!!!! There is NOTHING that is 100% effective, except not having sex. I got pregnant on BC pills. I was not very good at the taking the pill every day (1 on Mon, 3 on Thur, etc.) I didn't get pregnant the year I was on them. I went out of town for a week and forgot to bring my BC pills. I got pregnant that week. (I thought I have been on this for a year, a couple of days won't matter, WRONG!! My son just turned 10).

If you don't want to get pregnant, use a condom. If you aren't in a monogamous relationship, use a condom.

The running theme: USE A CONDOM. The other benefit of a condom is the prevention of STD.

BC will mostly prevent pregnancy, and help to regulate your cycle. They will not prevent STDs like HIV, AIDS, or HPV. (If you have been paying attention to the news: HPV is one of the most common STD and can lead to cervical cancer.)

Also, 2 forms of BC give a greater chance of the prevention of pregnancy.

Yes. Lucky for me that is how my hubby happened. His mom was on the pill. Then she got pregnant again while using foam. Lucky for my sister-in-law.

My husband has had a vasectomy and the doctor warned us before the procedure that even it wasn't 100%!

it is possible to become pregnant no matter what you do. the birth control only reduces the risk of pregnancy and doesnt protect against STDs. so in short, yes it is possible.
