That's a tough one. I really love both ofthose movies.
The Green Mile is great of you need to have al ittle cry. It's an emotional movie, and a little bit of fantasy. The Shawshank Redemption was more real, and has a sense of victory at the end. Both great movies. I have both but I watch The Green Mile more often I think.

Both are good movies but I would pick Shawshank Redemption.
