Yes, that is a certainty! We have interfered with our climate and environment to a point of no return! When you realise that we have achieved this in a little over 2000 years and the dinosaurs lived quite comfortably for well over 200 million years with out wrecking their environment, It tells you that human intelligence is not always the best provider! is it? What do you think?

I believe anything is possible. However, I do not believe we will become extinct without a fight. We are smart creatures with the ability to create thought and use reason and analysis to problem solve. We could even build a device to take us to another planet if need be. As for our existence on earth, we would dig into the mountains if the atmosphere got too hot. We would build more ships if the ice caps melt. We would be able to adapt and overcome much more efficiently that any other animal, if simply because we can anticipate and adapt so well.

Difficult to predict. 99% of all species that ever lived are extinct, and while there are no reliable figures on how many speciated before going extinct, we can assume that most species don't leave progeny. We are the last Homo species of about seven or so - we may very well be the last ever. I just hope that we don't become extinct because of our own foolishness and arrogance.

Eventually, this could be millions of years from now, humans will probably not exist. It could be that we become extinct due to environmental or other conditions, or it could be that we evolve to a life form that no longer resembles humans today.

It is most probable that something big enough to wipe out the whole planet surface will occur someday, but if we are lucky enough we will have time to spread our life on another planet... Or at least mark our presence on Earth forever, which is not bad at least...
