I had a manicure done, in which they used a product on my nails that disolved all the 'non living tissue' around the edges of my skin. I would like to buy some of this as it was very effective at tidying the edges of my nails a lot.
Many thanks.

Cuticle Eliminator. it works awesome!!
Sally's and other beauty supply store have it, also your salon might sell it. the same company makes something called callous elminator, that also works awesome on the callouses on your feet.

Cuticle remover helps dissolve dead tissue build up. There are many brands. (e.g. Sally Hansen, OPI, Avon)

My favorite brand is OPI's Avoplex Exfoliating Cuticle Treatment. (http://www.opi.com/Avoplex.asp - bottom of page) I'm lazy about applying moisturizer throughout the day even though I was my hands frequently and this product removes dry cuticles and softens the hard skin around my fingertips. I apply a dab to each finger tip, let it sit for 3-5 minutes. Then I rinse it off w/ a wash cloth under warm running water. The wash cloth helps rub off the product & dead skin. Afterwards I trim off remaining hangnails w/ a cuticle trimmer.
