Should I hold on to Zambrano or try to trade him? He has not been the guy I was hoping he would be when I drafted him with my 3rd round draft pick. He has been off big time and I can't take it anymore. If I trade him, what pitcher should I try and get to replace him that the owner would accept?

Bad news is that C-Zam is selling low right now, due to he's underperforming. I'm desperate too about him, but let me tell you something: the minute you give him away cheap, he'll start putting the big numbers, and you'll regret it. The guy have the stuff, he's just having a very low start. If you want my advice is stash him on your bench and wait for the storm to pass. I mean, right now the guy has a ERA of 5.62, do you actually think he'll end up like that? so the guy you give C-Zam to will get that fine games that will lower he's ERA to finish the season with around 4.00, if not less like he always do

Big Z is the perfect example of why I don't build my baseball teams around pitching. I usually wait until the 8th or 9th round before selecting any pitcher.

Hitters are more consistent from year to year. Pitchers on the other hand can go from good to very bad in the span of 1 season and they also deal with injuries that regular position players don't have to worry about.

To answer your question you probaly drafted Big Z pretty high and maybe he doesn't rebound this season (see tim hudson last year). I would deal zambrano to a guy that has a young stud sp and a solid veteran.

Since his trade value couldn't be much lower, I would hold on to Zambrano and cross my fingers for a great 2nd half surge. He's been better in the 2nd half the last couple of seasons, and I think you'd be better off stashing him on your bench for now until he strings together a couple of good outings.

If you decide to trade him, you could try for someone like Lincecum, Carpenter, Bedard.

Good luck.
