Safest way to do it is take your VIN number to a dealership and ask the service or parts department. There are so many vehicles on the road today that are flex fuel and the owner's don't even know it.

The 8th digit of your VIN number tells the dealership what engine is in your car (provided you still have the original motor in your car).
