How much can one expect to pay for a major tune-up on a Honda Accord LX with over 200K miles, and what services and parts should this cost include? The car runs fine and I expect it to last me at least another year or so. I just want to make sure I have an idea of what to expect on this kind of maintenance so I do not get ripped off.

The price of a tune-up can vary in the location of the U.S. you are in. I am a co-owner of a shop that is in the Auto Value Service Center network and the service centers labor price in just a two state area fluxuates around $100 per hour. Here, it would be around $400-600 for just a tune up, which is plugs, wires, pcv valve, fuel filter, and air filter. I would also recommend doing a timing belt and water pump if they have not been done with-in the last 60,000 miles. If the timing belt breaks on a Honda, 9 times out of 10, the motor is ruined. Also, have your mechanic check the condition of all your fluids, you may want to think about flushing all your fluids.

No matter what the mileage is on a car if it is running fine you should, well, just simply have it tuned up. That is change the spark plugs as well as the plug wires, the fuel filter, air filters, and also have all of your belts including the timing belt checked and changed if they need it.

depends how far you go on the tune-up, if your going for the timing belt and all the filter's, cap, rotor and wires, spark plugs...depending where you live you could spend between $500-1000, if your not gonna do the timing belt plan on around $200

about 60 bucks will do...since the car has alot of mileage then the most will be 100 bucks.
