Using Uranium-Lead dating in some of the world's oldest rocks and Concordia curves the figure is about 4.55 billion years old. Most textbooks round up to 4.6. Both are acceptable.

I believe in God. I believe he created the world. I also believe He gave some of us the sense and intelligence to understand how He did it and the insight to find out about how long it took.

Nowhere does the Bible say a certain amount of years. "Scholars" have counted generations completely forgetting the multiple meaning of a lot of the translated words in the Bible.

Will God send you to hell for believing the world is older or younger than it is? No. Because that's not the big picture. God's going to care a lot more about how you treated your fellow man than how old you think the planet is.

If you can believe in an all powerful creator God, you can believe in a 4.6 billion year old planet.

The oldest rocks known are about 4.5 billion years old which would make the earth that age.
However some would say that the earth is only 6000 years old. Which in scientific reality is CRAP! I saw on a news website that there is a creationist museum in the US which is causing a stir in the scientific community due to its inaccuracies.
