That's like asking why all black people hate apple pie. It's just not the case. Yes, some dislike whites, but there are pockets of people of all races that hate for one reason or another. What you have to understand about why some feel this way goes beyond slavery. To this day people are still judged by the color of their skin. This judgment is not always positive and can sometimes lead to hate/racism. After a while some of us ourselves internalize this hate and it comes out in many forms. Sometimes this hate/anger is taken out on our own people. Blacks in this country and abroad are still struggling to put the past behind. But it's hard when negative images of blacks fill every newspaper and te-li(e)-vison show. Black men are portrayed as gangstas, drug dealers, pimps, and dead beat dads. Our women are portrayed, as they were in the past, as "ugly" sexual deviants unworthy of marriage. Beauty is seen as white, blue eyed , blond haired, skinny white girls. And the American Dream is not always accessible to the "second class citizen" that most blacks are considered. So it's hard not to hate those seen as the oppressor. Just like those in Iraq might say they hate Americans. It's not that they hate you and I, but they hate what we stand for. When blacks are fully accepted in this society, maybe relations between the races will get better. But unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon.

this is so stupid. i think it is very ignorant to say that the majority of black people HATE white people. i do not find that to be at all true and i am black myself. i dont know anyone that is black and is racist towards white people. however i know ppl that perhaps feel the majority of the white population looks down on black society but thats another issue.
oh and while it is true that in the beginning African kings did sell slaves to white people they were definitely not aware of what was in store for these people once they got to the Americas. most of them were given away because they were prisoners of war. later on when the African kings and merchants no longer wanted to sell their people, the whites took them by FORCE. just thought i should say this cuz i dont want ppl believing that bullshiet. and thats only the beginnig but yall can check out a book if you want to know more.. oh and get one by a BLACK author b/c the author ones try and pretty everything up to make the europeans look good

What is the point of this post? The majority of black people do NOT hate white people, so you should have directed your frustrations towards the few people who may have upset you instead of asking on here. Additionally, if you come across other black people who "hate" white people, maybe you should try to have a conversation with them about why they may feel this way. Also, PLEASE do some research and learn your history. That line about blacks selling other blacks into slavery is so completely played. Thanks, and have a good day : )

I know you mean good but you may want to look a bit deeper at us "selling our own people"; the slavery of America and the slavery of Africa were totally different: one was inhumane the other wasn't
But I don't know why some black people hate white people; now that I think about it I really don't know why

I don't hate the white race as a whole. I hang out with mostly white people, as there aren't a whole lot of black people around here. My best friend is also white. There are white people who i dont liek, along with latino, asian, and black. It would be dumb to hate the entire white race.

I'm African and i don't live in the US either, but I don't hate white people just like I don't hate Hispanics,Asians etc. Hate is a strong word anyway. I just don't like narrow minded and racist people wich you will find in every race or every country. There are some white racist people just like there are some black racist people,Hispanic racist people. It's the racist that we don't like not the race in general

Well hate is such a strong word. I just dislike many whites( you are not included) simply because many steel things that have bought the african-american culture together.(items such as the hot comb, music, and many other black products). Me personally, I can't say that I "hate" all white people because I don't know ALL white people, just the ones I know.

i understand what you're saying but don't say it's a majority. but i can say this, a lot of blacks don't just go around hating white people, the white people that we usually give a hard time to did something to us. of course that still doesn't make it right.
but we don't just see a white person walking down the street and start picking with them.
