I have 2 cable modems but one is 100ft away (in garage). I want to use the one in the garage for Xbox360 Live. Could I use the cable coliax that is ran to the current modem to main computer and hook it to a input with a double output splitter. Hook one of the outputs to the current modem (which it is now, and works obviously) and run the other output to the garage and hook it to that modem? I don't wanna run it out there and then it now be able to work is why i'm asking... Or else I would go ahead and do it.. Below is the link of the splitter

If you're really talking about cable modems, adding two will result in higher charges from your provider. To work, they hvae to be registered. It'd be cheaper to get a router and then split it that way.

Only if you're downloading a bunch of big files all the time like MP3, movies, etc., should you think about running two modems off of one cable in one house. Even then, you won't be playing X-box 24/7.

YOu need to decide if the extra cost of a second modem is worth it in the long run. If you already have a router, it's a simple matter of running an ethernet cable out to where you want it or if it's wireless, not running the wire.

If you have a router but all the available slots are filled up, run a hub. I think that you'll find running a router for what you want to do will be a lot cheaper in the long run.

No Sorry, only one modem can be connected to a single cable connection at a time. If you had two different cable subscriptions you could do it.

You can always get a router and use ethernet or get a wireless router and wireless bridge for the xbox and connect that way.

if both modems are registered then yes that setup will work. if not then you can get a router hooked up and run a network cable to both devices
