Not all of processor in laptops have fans, but they have heat sink in all of them and keep that heat sink cool in many laptops there are ventilation and most of the laptops has fans.

any pentium M processor will have at least 1 fan, they are notorious for overheating. 1 or more fans and a huge heatsink.

centrino processors solved that problem.
