Hello all,

I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and have had a lot of swelling round my vulva area. It is quite sore. this comes and goes, everytime I have an antenatal appointment it is not there. midwives don't think much of it - what is it?

I don't have any discharge - other than normal one I have had throughout pregnancy.

Also this is my first baby and I don't have any family to rely on really, just hubby and me. he has been an absolute god send throughout my pregnancy - but i feel real anxious about the birth - any words of wisdom????

cheers

I am 35 weeks and have been going through the same exact thing!

I've been told that the swelling is mostly pinched nerves from where the baby is sitting, and it only happened once for me, but UGH I feel your pain!

I know I freaked out when I noticed, and it's pretty scary to find your crotch swollen up out of the blue. I almost ran to the hospital myself.

Sounds like you're doing fine. If you're really concerned about it though, call your physician. Even if it's just to make you feel better about what's going on.

Hugs and congrats!

Just keep in mind all the horror stories you might have heard were probably very exaggeraged. It could be you are just swelling cause the fluid doesn't have anywhere to go. When it is swelling are your ankles huge too? If so then take it easy. Sit down, put your feet up. I had a c-section which was actually not that bad. Whatever you do, keep in mind there are good drugs to help during delivery that won't have a big effect on your baby.

Hey,
There are many natural ways to cure premature ejaculation. A proven natural method can be found on this site http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=565

Recent polls have shown that the average length of intercourse is usually anywhere between 2 to 12 minutes. Most often those diagnosed with premature ejaculation climax in less than a minute or two, and there are even those who ejaculate before there is any sort of penetration. In all actuality, “too short” is really just a matter of opinion. The most important factor is if a man feels that he is unable to control his ejaculation and is frequently climaxing before he would like. Any man who feels that this is a problem for him may be suffering from some form of premature ejaculation.

This sounds completely normal to me. You are in the home stretch now, and pressure from the baby will cause that sort of swelling. Don't worry about it. Just a few weeks to go and you'll have your little angel. Good luck!

i felt the same thiing, it feels like your insides are falling out. i had pressure and swelling and i felt like i wanted to walk around holding it in.make sure you are doing you pelvic floor exercises. remember, when you are pregnant you body makes almost 50% more blood and more of the circulaton is going to go to your vagina and abdomin area, combine that with the pressure from your babys head and gravity. good luck.

What you're describing sounds normal. Jenny McCarthy described it as looking like 2 Twinkies in 'Belly Laughs'. I can't say any more because of community guidelines but I think you'd get the drift.

A friend of mine had the same thing when she was pregnant, but it was only swollen on one side of her crotch. Anyway, it turned out she had a hernia...which they said was rare...?
