yeah its pisses me off,,,lose points and have to sometimes ask it again 2-3 times so it goes through

Questions often can get "caught" by the pre-screening program run by Y!A to screen for certain words and/or phrases, to cut down on the number of spammers, bots, and trolls. They then get held for review by staff. This may cause your question to not post for quite some time. I've seen people reporting over 1 hour delays sometimes. Of course, this then means the question is OFF the front page, even, often, in the category section, so it will get few, if any, answers.

Other times, questions DO simply get swallowed up by a "glitch" in the system. It happens, unfortunately. If that is the case, you may have to spend another 5 points and ask it again. Wait a while before you do though, and try wording it slightly differently this time. And remember, if you pick a Best Answer for your question, you GET BACK 3 of the points you spent, so it will only cost you 2 points, total. And if your question is NEVER answered, it will be deleted after 4 days.
