They put it in the non-fiction section. Even if you don't believe in the Bible in a religious way, it is still a primary historical source and a religious reference.

Non fiction in with relogious studies. I believe that would be the 200's in the Dewey Decimal System.

Non-fiction. Although it is perception of truth, overwhelmingly the Judeo-Christian attitude is that despite its controversy of perception by man, it is the word of God as defined by man's understanding of that word.
