how come in rap songs, the singers always sing fast??
i can never understand wat their saying either!!

First of all, they're not singing. Second, for rap it's about listening over and over and over to the song to not only understand the lyrics but know what the artist is trying to express in the lyrics. It's all garbage today anyway, why bother!!!!!

I know right! Rap Songs Suck! First, you can't hear anything so you can't judge the music. Second, rappers have the most rediculous names like 50 cent. Last, the music dosn't mean anything. Like rock songs. Every song I've heard from Rage agenst the Machine has a porpose. I don't get why there even is rap. It's regular music but sped up. Oh, I just thought up another reasonswhy I hate rap. They have the worst ryhmes. Like in Fergalicous "Working on my fitness, He's my witness"??? WTF.

It can be understood. There is a rhythm and flow and beat.
Not all people get it . But there is meaning and the right artist makes it understood.
I couldn't say why you don't understand it. But there is more to it then just the words. But it is more of an understanding and its really a love for it that helps you to understand it. And knowing the culture even for some artist.

From the rap songs I have listened to that you could tell what the words were, rappers have their own language and the words don't make much sense if you don't understand the language.
Did that make sense?

that is just the style rap is. i personally don't care for it but a lot of the young generation does. I don't it when the rap song have all the swearing and filthy talk against woman. it's just degrading.

I'm not sure how this was a "daring" question but I agree, they are way too fast!
Also if they sing slow then we will understand that what they are saying is dumb or makes no sense and they will go bankrupt!

for rap songs, I understand it. Rap songs has to be like that or else it's wouldn't call "Rap" anymore.

just like in rock and roll slurred/rapid lyrics sometimes are intentional to cover any objectionable material for radio play - also it creatively allows the lstener to come up with what they believe are the lyrics

well, this is what i do, (and if you really want to know you would to). if its to fast look up the lyrics online, Plain and simple, what are you listening to Bone thugs, twista, because some times they say words you wouldnt know unless you are an X drug dealer or have been around people like that.
