I personally think he is one. I mean a lot of the people said that he made his Teammates? Well Pippen carried the Bulls even before Jordan was even in it and then here comes Jordan.... taking all the glory from Pippen and Kukoc. Whats up with that? Why should Jordan be considered a legend? Because he is a clutch player? WTF?! What about the guys that first made it to go to that point? But no Jordan did it... he did it by himself. Jordan was never the greatest! Why is he even worth mentioning in the same sentence with much better basketball player such as "Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and even the Kind, Lebron James!" Jordan was never great..... he was also never a passer. He sucks because he didn't pass the ball when it is really needed. Also you guys might say that Jordan is better than Lebron. Give me some points on why I shoulld worship his "Airdumbness"

First of all people said that Lebron was a ball hog in the game againts piston? They told him that he can shoot as many as he wants becaquse they know he can make them go in. And whats up with Jordan said not being sorrounded by Hall of Famers??????? Huh? are you dumb or something?

What about Pippen and Kukoc? They made JORDAN! And I believe they SHOULD be Hall of Famers!

PIPPEN the leader???....hahahahahahahahaha, first I thought you were serious, then I finally realize that you are just arguing at a hater perspective instead of a pippen fan perspective. I bet u are a Jordan fan disguise as a Jordan-hater. Dude, just stop. It's to obvious your arguments are pathetic. No disrespect to Pippen(he's my favorite perimeter defender), but he was OBVIOUSLY the sidekick.. You miss one important thing though: 93 Bulls > won a ring with Jordan 94 Bulls > no ring without Jordan P.S. Being a ball-hog can, and often does, benefit the team, if the rest of the team are 40% fg shooter, why not let the 50% guy take most of the shots? MJ is a scoring guard, if he was the PG, then we should expect better from him...but he wasn't!!! Pippen knows his role = defender, Rodman knows his role = rebounder, then why was it wrong for MJ to be the = scorer??? He fits that role perfectly, just like Kobe, Iverson, and Lebron. It's like arguing Nash sucks because he is a passhogger and he never block shots or shaq sucks because he never shoots 3pts , blah, blah, blah....

Lebron is the same way, if u saw last nights game u would see that he took the cavs last 20 shots. Everybody just wants to have one player that is the best so the media hyped Jordan to astronomical proportions. They changed the game for him, they let him do the side carry that everyone now does in the NBA, and they let him get away with moving his feet before he dribbles which everyon now does too. Jordan was a good player though he is way better than Lebron and the comparisons need to stop, they're nothing alike except that they are high-flying ball hogs that are overrated.

I find some of your statements pretty amusing especially this one,

"Jordan was never the greatest! Why is he even worth mentioning in the same sentence with much better basketball player such as "Magic Johnson, Larry Bird"

but yet when both stars were asked about their opinion regarding MJ, here is what they had to say.

Magic said, "There's Michael Jordan and then there is the rest of us."

Bird claimed that, "God (was) disguised as Michael Jordan".

Jordan's place in history should be decided by the NBA legends who have serve their place in the game instead of basing it on amateur talk show hosts on yahoo.

You must have been living under a rock during the Jordan era or you must of tuned in after he came out of his retirement to bring the Bulls to their 2nd straight championship trilogy. First, Jordan was already a member of the Bulls before Scottie Pippen and Toni Kukoc came along so there is no such thing as

"Pippen carried the Bulls even before Jordan was even in it and then here comes Jordan.... taking all the glory from Pippen and Kukoc"

Second, Pippen was a nobody drafted by the Seattle Supersonic before Chicago traded the rights to obtain him. Kukoc was drafted after Michael brought the Vince Lombardi Trophy to the Windy City. If you really think that the Bulls can win a championship without Michael then what happened to the Bulls after he retired after the 1993-1994 season? Better yet, what happened to the Bulls after Michael left the team for good after 1997-1998 season? Z-E-R-O championship banners. Scottie was still there after the 1993-1994 season and I'm pretty sure both Scottie and Kukoc were there after Jordan retired after the 1997-1998 season.

Now don't get me wrong. Scottie is a really great player, probably one of the best offensive and defensive combo forwards to ever play the game. But if you asked Pippen himself, he would tell you that Michael taught him a lot and has made him a more complete player who plays on both ends of the court. How can you not become a better player when you're working with a workhorse who is constantly trying to improve their game, along with one of the most rigorous workout routines ever? Kukoc was probably the NBA's first true version of Dirk Notwitzki. However, these two guys can not carry a team to a championship because they can not handle the pressure of being the focus of the opposing team defense. Sure Pippen lead the Bulls to the Eastern Conference finals but he cracked in game 7 against the Knicks when the game was on the line. Kukoc was not the same player when Jordan was not around to take the double team off him.

If you never watched MJ play, you will never get a full appreciation for his passion for the game. Yeah, you may call him a ball-hog or selfish but unlike guys like Kobe, he took over when the game mattered most and carry the team on his back. You think yesterday's performance by the LeBron was great? Jordan did that relatively almost every game when the rest of the Bulls team were either struggling on offense or defense. If you think just because LeBron went 1 on 5 yesterday in the game against the Piston was great, here is news to ya buddy, Jordan went 1 on 5 against teams during most of his career. He scored 62 points against Boston in the playoffs on their home floor against their frontcourt of Parish, McHale, and Bird, all were Hall of Fame players. Jordan also brought the intensity on offense and defense to the team and he would not hesitate to get in a teammate's face if they were slacking. You will never see that type of competitive intensity in Kobe, Wade, or King James.

That's not to say he's not a team player because he also knew when to pass it. You don't average 6 + assists every game your whole career without passing the rock so that should throw your

"he was also never a passer"

analogy out the window. So you're saying

"he didn't pass the ball when it is really needed."

I'm sorry buddy but you don't win 6 championship rings without knowing when to pass the ball when it counts. Just ask Steve Kerr and he will tell you all about how Jordan made him a savior in the final moments of an NBA playoff game.

The one thing that you can nitpick is how Jordan always wanted to take the last shot in the game. That's because he wanted to come through for the team when it mattered most and put all the pressure on himself, something LeBron is finally getting used to. Unlike King James, Jordan wanted that spotlight ever since he came into the league. It's like he was made to thrive under the most intensive conditions. So the next time you criticizes MJ, please take your foot outta your mouth before you say jiberish like

"Jordan was never the greatest! Why is he even worth mentioning in the same sentence with much better basketball player such as "Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and even the Kind, Lebron James."

MJ won 6 championship on a lesser talented team than Magic and Bird had. He just happens to do it by being the BEST PLAYER ON THE COURT. Had he not retire to play baseball those 2 years after his dad passed away, he would have had more championship rings then both those 2. So do your research thoroughly before coming to these type of inconclusive assumptions about one of the greatest players to ever pick up a basketball.

wow! Airdumbness huh? then what are you? HEIR-DUMBNESS? i'm guessing you inherited all the dumb genes in your family.

Never passed the ball when it is needed huh? I guess that's why steve kerr is so famous, famous for hitting the game winner in Game 6 of 1997 finals because of an assist by jordan.

by the way, you were saying something about jordan taking all the glory from the rest of the bulls??? please read on (Excerpts of an interview with steve kerr).

If he hadn’t have come back, obviously I wouldn’t have won any championships,” Kerr said. “I never would have had the chance to play in the Finals. And in turn, I probably would have never ended up with the Spurs, because the reason they brought me in was because of what I provided for the Bulls, in terms of an outside shooting role.”

Piece of advise your Heirdumbness, don't stay out in the sun too long, it's frying whats left of your brains.

Mike was a guy who wanted the ball, yes early in his career he tok damn near every shot it seemed... Until the maturation of Scottie Pippins game, and when others (Paxson and Kerr) showed they could be trusted to hit shots in the clutch Mike DID LEARN TO PASS THE BALL!!!! Iverson is now learning this harsh lesson in Denver, his body is wearing down quicker because in Philly he too every shot himself..... Passing the ball gets your teamates confidence up and doesnt wear you down so you can conserve a little for the end of the game....

His "Airness" took control of gmaes and the bad part about it was, NO ONE could really stop him so he should have been the one to take those shots.... Pippens a good player, but he is a sidekick- Robin -to- Batman.... Kukoc well we see how his career went after Chicago...
Only certain guys can do what Jordan did (Kobe is unfortunately one of these guys and so is Lebron) but they have to realize they have to get others involved for their own sake.....
For that reason I still argue that for as good as Mike was Magic Johnson is THE GREATEST PLAYER TO EVER PLAY THE GAME!!!!

R u stupid...how is Micheal Jordan a ball hog, he averaged in his career 5.3 assists per game, and had one whole season 88-89 averaging 8 assits per game, how can u say he doesn't pass, and no one says Micheal did it by himself, when you hear about his championships, u always hear pippens name with it, and why shouldn't he be considered a legend, have u ever looked at his stats, he averaged in his carrier 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists, how is that not legendary numbers, and he has been Five-time NBA Most Valuable Player, Ten-time All-NBA First Team selection , A member of six Chicago Bulls NBA championship teams, Six-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, record nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection, Three-time NBA All-Star Game MVP, Recorded only triple-double in All-Star Game history, with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists, in the 1997 NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland, Member of the gold-medal-winning U.S. Olympic team, and most important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Two-time IBM Award winner, for all-around contribution to team's success, ALL AROUND CONTRIBUTION

also have u ever seen him play a game, he always passed it to his teamates when he needed and when they were open, and when it came down to the final seconds, he created a shot and always made it, so how could you say he didn't pass it when needed, it's up to the superstar to make the final shot, and if he can consistently make it, he will take it...........

i hope u enjoyed this response, now knowing that you were completely completely WRONG!

You crazy man...I am an expert at basketball and I never heard a statement like this before. What did Jordan did to you first of all? Why do you hate the guy? Jordan was the best baller ever. I don't have to explain anything, Go watch his videos, and watch it closely next time. End of conversation.
