Why do cons ask the same questions over and over and over and over again?
For the record I don't have a private plane and I've never owned an SUV.

Liberal, Conservative, whatever you consider your opinion, anyone who lives far beyond their means is just a hypocrite. You meantion jets and SUV's which is true, but you also have to think about the guy with the $700,000 + house. Sure, if you have the money then I guess you have the right, but anyone on this planet who hoards extreme amounts more than they need to use, then they impoverish others below them. But, the problem here is that this is capitolism, and everyone wants that capitol. I can't understand the mindset myself, i'm a simple person, and I don't like to screw people I would much rather help.

I'm a liberal and I've never, ever pontificated about the evils of global warming and then flown around in a private jet, or driven an SUV.
Thanks for asking, though.

Because if you know anything about strategies to combat global warming you would know that you can engage in as much carbon dioxide producing activities as you want if you balance it out by purchasing carbon credits, planting a tree or doing any other activity that reduces greenhouse emissions. Gore was criticized for living in a mansion and riding in a private jet but people don't realize that he also purchases carbon credits to offset his contributions to global warming.

This is not at all out of character for members of the elite Left. Someone must be in charge of the government that rules us, afterall. Those elites, naturally, require all of these things to rule. When they preach to us about how to live our lives, it is because they know better. In their minds, there is no hypocrisy. It's a difference of perspective. Liberals want government to impose itself on us in more and more ways, conservatives, at least in theory, push back.

Because liberals have a basic philosophy of elitism whereas they know what's best for the masses, but it doesn't apply to them.

I thought that was the rich Republicans that vote Republican for tax breaks that fly around on personal jets. Get a clue. Everyone in America knows who won the gore bush election.....lets stop trying to pretend that your aren't embarrassed about your member now.

I've been wondering that myself. I just saw a woman walk out of the welfare department and get in her brand new land cruiser today. Figure that one out.

For the same reason that conservatives claim to believe in small non-intrusive government and then support an administration that uses warrantless wiretaps and tries to legislate morality.
