I'm not saying women get a free ride.
I'm just saying they have better than men.

Ladies, ladies, ladies...

Let's give this question a fair shake. From a guy's perspective, let me explain so we can discuss and provide an answer that doesn't provoke more bad vibes. Let's educate and put an end to the negativity.

The ease that is being spoken about all boils down to this:

What women CAN do men HAVE to do. Women have choice. Men do not.

Just answer this question: what would you think of a man who tells you on the first date that he wants to stay at home and take care of the kids while his wife goes off to work all day long? See? He HAS to have a career. But you CAN have one.

So, Women do have it easier in certain areas of life...

Why? Because women are the pursued not the pursuer.

Oh, and if you don't think your life is easier, then please explain the answers here:

Women do not have it easier than men. I've had to fight for everything I have. I grew up poor, in an abusive/dysfunctional family. I was told over and over again that I'd never amount to anything. I learned at an early age that I should throw my awards and report cards in the trash, because no one cared, and because I'd get in serious trouble for something else (conveniently) that night.

I am now in my 30s and have a wonderful husband and family. I'm working on a Ph.D. in a field that I love.

NONE of it came easy. I worked my butt off to be where I am today. Having a vagina hasn't made my life any easier.

This is one woman who has to fight and scrap for everything I get, so it's not just men, and things are not easier for women. Most of us would gladly trade you places for a day. You would be amazed at what you find.

I don't know if we have it easier, I still had to go through college, and pay my way while i was going, find a job, pay taxes, buy insurance..home..life..health, raise two children ( who are still small) have had two surgeries..deal with death in the family..mine and my husbands,.etc.. just as much as any other man or woman in the world. i do not think that men or women have it easier... we all have to bust our tail to get anything in this world.

Actually they do not. They worry more than guys. Worry cost a terrible toll on health, sleep, and relationships.

Sure some skinny and wealthy women get free drinks in night clubs, but most women, life is a definite struggle. Their struggle is just different than ours.

???

Women have to work more than full time jobs, then come home and take care of the house and kids, usually alone.

Everyone on the planet feels they should have say over what women do, from what they wear, where they go, and when they should procreate.

They work decades, training men who are promoted over them, getting less pay than their peers the whole time.

Their bosses pressure them to have sex they don't want in order to not be fired.

And when they have kids, the kids are theirs alone to take care of; they're blamed for not being with their kids, because they have to work to keep them alive.

It seems to YOU that women have it easy.

That's because you have not the first hint of a clue.

Most of all, most men in their lives believe they have no brains and no rights.

I agree with you on this one. Women do have it easier. They're recognized for doing the bare minimum whereas men are downed for doing that. Women have it easier in relationships, at work, and medically. Women live longer, are revered for being mothers, supported financially, emotionally, and physically by men, and don't have to go to war if the stuff hits the fan. Today's woman does have it easier. Of course, saying that, brings a lot of criticism, but it's the truth. Even simple things are easier for women. I'll give one good example. Women can cry and express a depth of emotions whereas men can't, and if men do their manhood is questioned. Women can be tough and/or soft. Men have to be tough. The best example that I could give is even in childhood. Men are socialized in a very rough way. Let's use the example of the school bully. Now most guys have this experience and we're told that we better fight and even if we get beaten or bloodied, we're expected to fight. If we don't fight, our dads and moms beat us anyway for not fighting. Women don't have the same crazy rites of passage that men do, as well. We're expected to endure pain and suffering in order to gain the title of manhood. Men are judged on their drinking behavior, sexuality, and physical toughness. Women have no idea of what it's like to be a man. Oftentimes they think they're so much stronger than men. I'd like for a woman to get her tail kicked and told she couldn't cry or go to the authorities, and if she didn't fight back she wasn't a woman. Women couldn't possibly stand up to that kind of pressure. Men get no benefits from being a victim. As a matter of fact, for a man being victimized is considered a weakness. Men are actually taught that death is better than victimization. We're socialized to be defenders and protectors even if it means our very lives. Women couldn't stand up to the pressure of being a man.

"I did not mean to offend anyone with this.

Hahaha!
Good luck buddy!

Anyway, I'm not entirely sure that that is a fair statement.
It is highly dependant on your viewpoint.
There are many injustices facing both men and women today and it varies throughout the world.

I say women have it easier because they can get away with
a lot of things and get things easier. But we still have to deal with crap at least at most points of our lives.

If you believe a woman's life if better than a man's, perhaps your lament is not so much that women might have it "easier" than men, but that you cannot be a woman yourself and live a woman's life. Perhaps you should explore your sexuality and learn more about yourself.
