Stupid question... how do you unhook a car battery? I need to take it to be charged. My brother the mechanic has always done this for me in the past, but he's not here right now and I don't want to wait lol...

NEGATIVE FIRST POSITIVE LAST and hook it up positive first and negative last......not knowing what kind of car it is its either a side post, post on the side of the battery, this takes a 5/16" wrench or top post and this could be a couple of different sizes

take the battery terminals off,it doesn't make any difference which one you take off first and then take off whatever holds the battery to the car and pull the battery out and your on your way for the recharge.

Take pliers and lossen the bolts on each terminal, then remove whatever strap is holding the battery in place.

Remove the pos. +, neg.-, then unbolt and recharge it. Good luck. Make sure the bat. is full; and take it to a shop to have it checked for weak or dead cells.
