HSBC USED to mean HongKong Shanghai Banking Corporation..however it no longer means that....Now HSBC literally is just HSBC...doesnt mean a thing....The slogan for HSBC is "The worlds Local Bank" however...

They own HouseHold Credit, Orchard Bank, GM credit, UnionPlus Credit Cards, Beneficial and several other banking services.
