I don't know what I did this week, but I have about a 3 inch margin on my left and right side of the screen. How do I return it to a full screen - I've tried everything, including "stretch".

I would check the monitor cable attached to your computer to make sure it is tight. Then, change the resolution by right clicking anywhere on your desktop and going to properties. Click the settings tab and there is a slide bar selector to change the screen resolution. choose a different resolution, one your monitor supports. If that doesn't work, download the newest drivers for you video card and install them. If that doesn't work it might be a hardware problem either your monitor or video card. Hope this helps.

There are a number of things that could be wrong. Have you updated a video driver? Roll back to your old video driver and that should work. Or adjust the resolution in your Display settings. Or go into your monitor-specific settings and reset to defaults and adjust to your liking.

If it is a CRT monitor, I have seen monitors that start going bad by "shrinking" of the resolution. If it's not a video driver, the Display settings, or any monitor settings specific to the monitor, I suggest you call someone to fix it.

Go to the menu on your monitor (push the menu button on the front) and go down until you find horizontal size, select it and push the button with either a + or an > on it to increase back to full size.

there should be horizontal settings that you can increase. if none of those settings work, there might be something wrong with your monitor. good luck!

If you can stretch it, but it won't stay, stretch it, hit control, then exit, and see if it stay put.
