I know this question seems juvenile, especially from a man my age, but I am being sincere. Can a foreskin grow back?

I was cercumcised as a baby, but the skin has always been somewhat elastic. I suspect the doctor did a rather lazy job of it.

Over the past five years, since I've been cycling and jogging regularly, I've noticed a dramatic change. More and more when I look in the mirror it seems almost as if I am uncercumcised.

For a long time it was uncomfortable, causing me to constantly tug "at it." Now I'm used the sensation and have even noticed an increase in sensitivity (which I appreciate).

I know my doctor would give me a straight up answer, but I'll admit that I'm a little embarrased to ask.

Of course, if the foreskin isn't growing back, then it means that I'm shrinking (if you get the long and short of it). That's a frightning proposition.

So, does anyone know if it's possible for the foreskin to grow back?

Cheers!

Generally, once circumcised the foreskin can't grow back. There are varying degrees of circumcision; some are loose and retain a lot of the foreskin (see link). With a loose circumcision, it's possible for the foreskin to grow back a little bit (but not really).

If your remaining foreskin gives you an increase in sensitivity, then that can only be good. Be happy that you've some left. It's possible to "regrow" the foreskin by pulling on it over time. There are many methods and sites on "foreskin restoration" though the foreskin doesn't actually grow back, only stretched. Then again, this might not be worth it as it takes usually takes years to get the desired result of a functional (if not exaclty natural) foreskin.

Wow, this is an old thread. I read all the entries because my foreskin has indeed grown back. I am a 69 year old male who had a pretty radical cut as an infant and experienced some of the side effects such as "hairy shaft". The foreskin started to regrow sometime after radioactive seed implants to treat early prostate cancer. Is that what stimulated this tissue growth? The skin nearly covers the entire head now. I experience no symptoms that bother me, just the anxiety of the new look, which I don't like.

With different techniques, there are some men who have "trained" the foreskin to grow back.

My boyfriend uses a Vacuum Penis Pump and when he Over Pumps the Excess skin gives an illusion of a foreskin. Eventually everything goes back to normal after about 2 to 3 hours.

Once circumcision has taken place, scare tissue is formed to heal up the skin. It would be next to impossible for it to grow back. However, there are varying degrees when the doc snips away; legitimately, some men are let with more than others, depending upon how aggressive the doc was with the scalpel.
Working out and exercise increases blood flow, raises your metabolism, and generally puts your body back into the shape that's optimal for you.
The fatty tissue at the base of the penis covering the pubic bone, may become diminished, allowing the skin in that area to cover more naturally, and therefore "hang" lower on your organ.
Even if "shrinkage" does occur (doubtful), it would only be noticeable in the flaccid, non-aroused state.

it is not growing back but the tugging and other 'stretching' type actions are causing it to stretch which is one of the basic methods employed to restore (not regrow). so check out the various restoration sites that use the various stretching techniques to restore and have a go at one or more. Sure it will take time to get good coverage but if you want to restore it is worth the time and effort.

When soft it's common and expected that you have some foreskin left. If you didn't, you'd have painful erections and pubic hair would be pulled to the shaft. :O

It's possible that the conditions it is being provided (more moisture perhaps) is making it more elastic and causing you to notice it more.

Sure, just like a leg or an arm grows back when it gets blown off.

Yes, but it grows over the orbital openings if you mastrubate often. Watch out for the hairy foreskin that grows over your palms as well.

-OR-

Yes, but when it grows back it's called fiveskin.
