During the England game tonight, Motty kept calling the stadium the 'new' wembley stadium.

Then he asked the question 'When does something cease to be new'?

With regards to the stadium, what is your opinion on this?

Gotta love the man for mixing philosophy and football commentary.
If you buy a new car it immediately becomes second hand. But you'll still probably call it 'my new car'. With regards to the stadium, I'd say both the day after it opens, and whenever people stop calling it new.

As soon as you bye something it ceases to be new.

i.e. A new car, when you drive it off the forecourt it becomes second hand.

It will always be new because it's the one after the old.
