I want the names to be different, I don't want them to be thought as as a unit, not individuals. I'm thinking of Andelia and Morgaise.

You pronounce Andelia, An-deal-ee-uh. And Morgaise, More-gay-se. The pronunciation isn't really that difficult. I've already gone to two sites for baby names. Andelia could be Andy if she wants to shorten it, and Morgaise could be Morgan, or something like that, if they want, or whatever else. Andelia is two of my friends names, Andrew and Cordelia, and Morgaise is from my favorite book, The Once and Future King, by T.H. white (in case you care)

And, to the one who said Cassie would be a good name, my mom thought so too, that's why my name is Cassie.(Cassandra)

People have excedingly weird ideas about naming twins. Ignore them. Your approach is much better. My twin daughers are named Laurel and Rose, which was a good choice for several reasons:

They are similar only in that they both refer to flowering plants, but one is wild and one cultivateed.

Having an "r" in the middle of one and at the beginnig of the other makes them roll nicely off of the tounge without being sing-songy.

They sound different enough from each other that we didn't get both when calling for just one.

DON'T use names that rhyme, or with the same initial--both cause more problems for the kids than any cuteness could justify, and they sound dumber than they do cute.

The advice in this forum can be staggeringly bad, but given the choices you're considering, I suspect you have the wisdom to tell the good from the bad.

Enjoy your girls. They'll be amazingly fun after the hard work of newborn care is behind you.

I'm sorry, but those names look very made up. Why don't you consider more timeless and solid names that will help your daughters in their life and careers? Luckily you can combine Andrew and Cordelia. Here are some legitimate options: Adelia, Adela, Adele. Adelia is nice, uncommon, and it is not made-up.

Here are some combinations:
Adelia and Miranda
Adela and Morgan
Adela and Lila
Adelia and Noelle
Adela and Bridget
Adelia and Juliet
Adela and Violet
Adelia and Juliana
Adela and Melanie
Rachel and Miriam
Luciana and Marcella
Lucy and Norah
Felicity and Grace
Greta and Ava
Penelope and Daphne
Sophia and Isabel
Alina and Daniela
Madeline and Angelina
Maya and Chloe
Dalia and Liora
Bridget and Fiona
Lily and Hope
Lauren and Allison
Leila and Amaya
Natalie and Serena
Scarlett and Rhiannon

The IRS releases an annual list of the 10 most popular names of boys and girls. You might use this as a starting point or as a list of names to avoid.

I would stay away from anything too strange. It will only cause problems for the child during childhood and adolescence (self consciousness from teasing or no one saying it properly).

If you do give them unique names, then perhaps also come up with some more normal nicknames.

Those names are pretty but I don't think it's a good idea naming your children names that they'll always have to teach people how to pronounce. I can imagine how frustrated they'd be in school!
I'm a mother of twin girls also and, like you, we didn't want our daughters' names to sound too similar. We chose Skyla and Haley for their names. I think with twins it's nice to have 2 names that sound nice together -- but that don't sound too much alike. Remember, you'll be calling out both of their names at the same time a lot! So, before you pick the names, I suggest you try calling their names out together to see how easily they roll off your tongue! Good luck! Twins are so much fun!!

P.S. Please no one criticize our choice of names. They're already born and are living with these names. It's not like we're still deciding a name and can change our minds :) Thanks!

Those are definitely unique names. As someone else mentioned, you may want to think about if they will be made fun of in school.

well i like the first name but the second might be a hard name even for her. but maybe with a beautifull and simple name like belle as her middle name it might fit evry well. Congradulations on getting twins.
