probably, but I don;t think I would. My partner checks my cervix and has actually been able to feel the babies head, my cervix is very very close to the vaginal opening and very short at this time so he is able to find it and check it with little effort and little discomfort for me. As for sanitary, he uses gloves just like the nurses and doctors do, and I can;t see how it would be any different as long as there are universal precautions taken, which we do.

Please don't try anything like that. If your doctor won't do it, there is a probably a reason. There is also a reason why you're seeing a doctor or midwife. They know more than you, please trust in them. Best of luck.
***EDIT****
Just read through some of your other questions. The reason they won't induce is because it's too early! Give yourself a little more time. Pregnancy lasts 40 weeks for a reason. If they are off on your dates (and yes that is possible) your baby would be at even greater risk for respiratory problems. Everyone is unfomfortable at the end, just hang in there a little longer. I carried my twins about as far as you are now and wish they would have stayed in there longer. Best of luck.

Probably but I wouldn't suggest it , do you really trust yourself that much? I would be worried that I would do something wrong, have a professional do it.

Girl you need to stop, seriously...are you really pregnant?
Because no matter how desperate we've all been during the later part of our pregnancies...we'd never question the things you've been asking about.
We all know that patience is a huge part of being pregnant. Preparing you for the patience you are going to need to raise a child.
