Male prisoners please. I need them for my novel. I'm terrible with naming.

stereotypical names... Bubba, Biff, Oswald, Johnno, Jacksy, Jamie, numbers such as 4758 and so on.

Unexpected names:
Jason Smith, Malachy O'Brien, or any VERY ordinary sounding names. Sometimes the most normal names like the boy next door, can be very menancing in a way the stereotypical nicknames aren't, as they are much closer to home, expecially if the names aren't shortened in any way, for instance Robert Newman, instead of Bob Newman, get my drift?

Good luck with your quest

Totally agree with your 1st answer..can't beat Number Six. In fact, I'm going to vote that the best answer.
I suppose you could make up lesser names that sound sort of rough, for instance.
Nigel Horsebucket.
Sid Rumpo.
Gasher Blackheart.
Strangler Sandy.
Cosher Meat.
Gritpype Thynne.
Mad Dan Eccles.
Crazy Jim the mad Vicar.
Lemmy the Dip
Salty Peters.
Big Jim Featherstonehaugh
Mick the Masher

Just a few.. I suppose you could look in Who's Who and Hansard.

Watch Con-Air, CSI, or other shows where it shows either people going to jail or people that are.

Also I don't know what you mean like by prisoner names. Like nick-names or actual names?

Because the name doesn't matter it's what you give to the name that makes the person. Like...when I say...Daniel what do you think of? Or if I would say John...

You have to create someone. Don't just use names that already sound like they belong there, because that means someone else has already done used it...use names that don't and then make them sound like they should be there.
