Yes, you can but probably shouldn't. There is too high of a risk of causing infection, especially if you have strep b. Leave it to the docs with thier knowledge and sterile gloves and equipment.

Yeah, I thought this same thing, until one day I actually tried to do it. I got all prepared, washed my hands, get on the bed, etc. I reached up and reached....and reached....AND struggled, lol and couldn't get even the slightest bit close to feeling my cervix. I tried, believe me I did, twice. But, never with any luck. My doctor's also told me that they don't check because it's uncomfortable to do that. So, I won't know how far dilated I am until I go into labor. It sucks! Cause I wish I could reach myself!

Iv been trying to feel it to and cant reach it it makes me soooo mad i wonder if you cant find it does that mean your not ready for labor since they say your cervix comes down when your ready

it's possible to feel your cervix even when your not pregnant. Thats why a DR stick his finger in during a pap smear...to make sure its not tilted and its in place.
