I just started wheeling my 2000 Honda CBR F4 (not F4i) and was wondering if I'm gonna really screw things up if I keep doing it? I know that if you come down hard you can bend the forks but is there anything else that its bad for? I don’t THINK I'm starving the engine of oil because i'm only up for like 2 seconds at a time. Does landing them a moderately hard progressivally weaken the forks? All relevant advice is appriciated...other than "stop doing wheelies".

The CBRs have been known to starve the crankshaft bearings of oil and spinning the crank bearings.
Honda realized this and wouldn't honor warranties on brand new bikes.
Coming down from a wheely puts a lot of strain on the steering bearings.
The bearing races will become indented.
Only slightly, but "any" ware or looseness in the steering bearings and the bike will not pass your state's inspection.
The forks are strong enough to withstand the abuse, but the fork seals will ware out and start leaking sooner than normal.

KH ,What you are doing seems harmless and the truth is the very next wheelie could cost you your life or put you in a wheel chair for life.Although I to 30 yrs ago could do wheelies for a quarter mile ,feet on the pegs at 60 mph+,I was a fool.I was a lucky person that I never fell off.Yes wheelies are very hard on all of the drive train and will blow fork seals.I``m not your Dad and I have seen many hurt in my time .Good Luck to you.

Wheelies put a lot of pressure on fork seals. If you do too many wheelies after awhile the seals will leak on the forks.

i exchange into showing off using my 1978 Honda XL350 (twin sport) down a flight of stairs. The walkway under the stairs exchange into slick with moss from the present rain, and my bike fell over on the main suitable component and dragged me approximately 20 ft. Tore all my clothing, broke the turn indicators on that component, scraped the front fender, misaligned the front wheel. I have been given lots of highway rash. Went to get an X-ray, 'reason my foot exchange into hurtin', yet no bones have been broken.

Would you ride your bike down steps?

That's pretty much what wheelies do...just bash everything. You're also probably wearing out the clutch and the tires doing it.

Unless you're planning on doing wheelies for a stunt show, leave it to the folks who like to eat pavement on a regular basis, and focus on riding your bike well, not flashily.

Small amount of extra drivetrain wear. It's not going to last forever anyways and you have to have some fun.

You put stress and wear on the chain, sprockets, clutch, and if you ground loop, a whole lot of stress everywhere.
