Not BURNING bread...BAKING bread...the aroma (smell) reminds people of "home"...making the house seem familiar, comfortable and inviting...did your Mom or Grandmother or guardian ever bake cookies or biscuits (or whatever) and as soon as you smelled them, your mouth would water and you would instantly smile????
Same reasoning behind that kind of smell...I used to work for a furniture store that had bread machines behind areas in the store constantly baking bread...customers loved it, and sales were always up when the bread was being baked...

The burning of grain (bread) brings success in a financial dealing of the home and hearth. Actually it would be better to burn just the flour but has become adapted by modern witches to become the burning of bread (in effect the same thing). It's most prevalent in Nordic traditions of witchcraft and Strega witchcraft as well (Italian witches).

Not burning it you idiot !
The smell of cooking bread makes a house seem very homey and comfortable and has been known to increase the speed of a house selling.
It's an old trick and people are on to it.

Since the 1880s, burning bread or meal has been thought to bring want into a household.

If you have bread baking in the oven when the home is being shown, it "smells friendlier" and makes the house more attractive to the buyer.
It really works.

I think it means you are spending unnecessary money to try to sell it not to invest in it.Like you go and install a pool to sell the home, the buyer may not even really want a pool.

It gives it that nice home smell. Some bake cookies for the same effect.

You don't burn it, you bake it. Same with cookies; it makes the house seem like a home - more inviting.
