I would have to say Cotopaxi volcano in Ecuador. A perfect cone, with snow year round at the top and it happens to be the world's tallest active volcano if measured from the center of the Earth.

most active seems to be mt. erebus on the antartic continent. definitely the most extreme to reach above sea level.

however there is a soda/mud volcano in africa that has some of the most amazing formations that change within hours and create some of the most unique sights. cannot remember then name right now, but in a national park on the south eastern side of the continent.

I could watch footage of Kiluea erupting and fountaining for hours, hope to do it in person some day (Hawaii). Kiluea's current eruption is from the crater dubbed Pu'u O'o. Also, web pictures of Arenal volcano are quite nice (Costa Rica). Crater Lake is very picturesque (Oregon).

Mount Fuji in Japan has been featured in art for many years because of its symmetry and beauty. It has just enough break up of the symmetry to render it truly beautiful (just as the two sides of a face are not the same except in mannequins and poor cosmetic surgery),

Mount Fuji, Japan. it is actually the tallest mountain in Japan, about 10,000 in height. many climb it, and is actually so slick that they often could slide down.

Mayon in the Phillipines is pretty impressive, very shapely. However, I've always had a thing for Mauna Kea... she's got a nice pair of cinder cones.
