In my opinion, the US (and UK as a second choice). A few reasons why I chose this country:
1.It went to war with Iraq to:
- Find weapons of mass destruction ...(none were found)
-To defeat Saddam Hussein (he's dead now)
- ...and...now its to defeat Alqaeda
and as a result of this war 650 000 innocent Iraqi people have died and more than 2000 troops have died.
This influences the rest of the world that it really is 'OK' to invade other countries without valid reasons.
2. Secondly, it has in image-obsessive problem. The younger generation is thought that to be accepted you have to be skinny and look good regardless about everything else. Little twelve year olds run around in mini skirts thinking its cool and then people wonder why paedophilia is increasing.
This influences the rest of the world that if you don't look good...then you should feel bad.
3. Thirdly, there is a selfishness problem. People now care more about money, fame and power to benefit themselves than anyone else, regardless if there are people out there in Africa dieing of starvation.
This influences the rest of the world to be greedy and forget that there are people out there that need your help.
4. There is a biased media-problem. In mainstream American media, people are being told that those in the middle east are all terrorists who want to kill you and take over the world. When really the fact is that people in the middle east are dieing, poor and hungry as a result of the war.
This teaches the rest of the world that people in the middle-east are terrorists, regardless of how much they're suffering.

I don't want to bash America. I just had to give reasons to justify my answer, that's all. But what I am grateful to America for doing is bringing me Spongebob Squarepants. Everyone loves the little sponge. :D

Whichever country has absolutely NO influence on the world. Out of bad, there comes good.
Hitler leads Germany into conducting the Holocaust, perhaps the greatest crime against humanity in recorded history, and now the Jews have an OFFICIAL homeland and the nerve to stand up for themselves and no longer be pushed around by society. Yay Jews! :)
EDIT: Everyone who answers "America" needs to read a history book sometime.

wow...a lot of people are giving the thumbs down to answerers who say America. i think they (the voters) are allowing their patriotism to cloud the question....
we must consider which countries have a LOT of power AND influence on other countries. America is a powerhouse on SO many levels; it is the obvious answer.
just stepping back a moment...are there movies, music, televison shows, restaurant chains, or fashion influences streaming into and taking over America from Iran or North Korea? no. are those American things infiltrating various societies around the globe for better or worse? heck yeah!
i don't even want to delve into the political realm of this question, but just on an economic and cultural level, American influences can and have destroyed sacred cultures and traditions.
excellent question, BTW!

Well first reaction was France, why because it's France. No Arab nation is contributing to the planet, and lets be honest if there weren't sat on so much oil no-one would give a toss about them. African states, well we can blanket all of them. South Americans are just South Americans and we couldn't really trust them if they told us the time.

Right now, I'm sad to say the US...its pre-emptive strike policy instituted by invading Iraq set a terrible precedent and made a mockery of the free world. We seriously need to reverse that trend and rebuild the world's trust and respect. Its amazing how it can take many years to build international trust and respect but it only took one idiot in the White House to have it all wasted by his ignorance of tact and diplomacy.

I'd say Sri Lanka. There is a thriving drug culture, the government is leftist and nearly 100 percent corrupt, and child slavery is rampant.

Got to be the USA I'm afraid - look at what they've given the world: capitalist consumerism, shallow 'celebrity' worship, obsessive body image, the belief that it's 'my way or the highway', lack of concern for the environment. I could go on forever...
