I don't care what I look like but everyone else does especialy my mom.I hate makeup,ponytails,headbands,etc.but everyone else makes me look like a premadonna for no reason.what should I tell them?

Tell them that you have natural beauty and you don't need anyone's help to look good. They should respect that. Some people need makeup, some don't. If you look good without it, then do your thang and don't let anyone tell you other wise.

Well, it is nice to look well-groomed, and I'm sure a little makeup and accessories aren't too primadonna-ish, but if makeup just isn't for you, you shouldn't be forced to wear it. But don't look like a total slob either! I mean, we're not all for the Prada and Gucci brands, but it's important to give the general impression of good appearance. I'm sure this is NOT the answer you want to hear, but it really isn't okay to wear sweats and tees every day. Spruce up every once in a while!

Tell them to get their hands off you and your hair. You don't have to be forced to wear makeup, and good for you for knowing that makeup does not make you a better person than you already are.
People who can't walk out of the house without being made up and have perfect hair are insecure in my opinion. Who cares if the strangers you encounter think you're pretty or not?

Tell them why are they so concerned with your features if you aren't. I mean if you don't care they shouldn't either. Try to explain to her that it doesn't affect you and as a parent she shouldn't make you look like a snobby premadonna anyways lol.

Usually people that don't care about themselves were sexually abused as a child. Either that or physically or mentally abused by someone in their life , thus making them not care for themself.

If none of those, people have made fun of you in school for you appearance and you just don't care anymore.

So yea you need to take care of yourself because you aren't going to have a love life and nobody will care about you much when you don't care about yourself and look all nappy. Clean up and you won't believe how better you will fell when you make yourself look better.

Your mom is trying to live vicariously through you since she lost her looks a long time ago. If you have no interest in dolling yourself up, there is no reason for you to. Just realize that some people are very superficial and base their opinion of you wholly on how you look. If you can deal with that, then more power to you.

It seems to me ur a tomboy, so tell them how you feel and that you don't want to look the way they want u to cuz u have a mind of ur own. So use ur mind and tell them to lay off the make-up and doin ur hair, and stuff.

You should tell them that is your style... and that you feel really good looking like that. So, is that what count. If people love n respect you they need to understand that.

i agree with you. i almost never wear makeup except when my boyfriend and i are going out to dinner or something. my mom has always tried to buy me girly clothes and i never liked them. you should just tell everyone that it's not your style, and you wouldn't feel right listening to THEM when it's not what YOU want to do. eventually they'll come around =)
