1: Connect the device to your computer.

2: Let the computer detect the device.

3: Go to My Computer > and look under the drives, there should already be a few, like "A, C,D" and the one you're looking for would probably be named E.

4: After locating the correct drive letter, double click.

5: Locate the file(s) you would like to remove.

6: Right click, and click delete.

If you want to delete it permanently (without going to recycle bin) you can hold the shift key down while pressing delete. Also, I recommend safely removing removing the flash drive anytime you write to it (or delete from it). You typically do this by clicking the icon (usually in the lower right corner) that reads "Safely Remove Hardware". Verify it is the flash drive you are removing.

This will ensure that any files waiting to be written or deleted actually are. In some cases, in order to save time, the computer won't actually physically write or delete files to the flash drive until you do this final step.

Same as you would delete it off your hard drive or any other drive. Click on it and press the Delete key. Or right click on it and select Delete from the menu.

Unless...
Some flash drives come with a program preinstalled on the drive. Such as security or encrypt program, or an ad if they drive was given to you for free. Those preinstalled programs are usually burned right into the memory chip and can not be removed. (That is why they give them away for free - because they force you to keep their ad).

Open "Windows explorer" and look for something like "Drive E" or "F".

Click on the Icon, all the files on the drive are displayed on the right.

Click on the top file, hold the shift key, and click on the last file. Right click the group and select "Delete".

All done.
