I just purchased a new 2007 175 bayliner and took it out on the lake and when we came out it looks like the prop hit something although i am positive it didnt. could this be caused by silt in the water? or did i hit something and not know it.
I am sure its not from launch and trailering because the trim is all the way up when i put it in or out. What do you think?

The prop isnt bent. It just seems to have some abrasions around the edges of the blades, nothing major. Thats why i was wondering if it may be just silt and sand in the water

The only way to bend a prop while operating a boat is to hit something. You can take it to a prop shop and have it reshaped properly or buy a new one. Check the cost of each and decide which way you want to go.

Could you have hit a submerged tree branch floating just below the surface.
