Completely disrespectful! I would be upset! But what can you say to the owner..I would have been somewhat sarcastic but serious and said while picking it up and wiping it off..."Oh thanks I see we are just a chopping block for you!" and laugh a little and put it back on the wall or something...in the future if your office is having something to win I would say, "Oh so we can get another cutting board?!" and laugh again a little! you don't want to make him really mad but the sarcastic joke is somewhat serious and hopefully he will see that it does mean something to you guys! good luck!
p.s Good idea though! I need a cutting board! just joking! :)
