I am not a smoker so I am waiting for a ban on smoking in restaruants where I live. However, if I were a smoker, that would only be a deciding factor of where to move if I were already planning on moving. I wouldn't move just becase the state allows smoking. Seems like a silly reason to give up friends, family, job, etc. just to be able to smoke somewhere you'd probably only go a few times a week anyway.

I live in a state with no smoking laws. I wouldn't move to another state just because I can't smoke in a restaurant. Plus, there's nothing like going outside for a smoke.

I take it that with the use of "State" you are from the USA. Here in the UK, a nationwide ban on smoking in public places comes into effect on the 1st July 2007. Penalties include a fine of £5,000 [US$ 9,885]. Unfortunately, we do not have the option of moving to another "state".
The only real option left to us is to move to France....... a smoking ban there would simply be ignored and the French government have far too much sense to try and introduce such a draconian assault on people's civil liberties.

Absolutely not ... smoking during your meal kills your taste buds so what your eating doesn't taste the way it ought to be as well as the limited space you have for the smoking sect. Just try to quit smoking and you will be suprised how much more enjoyable your food will be.

Having a smoking section in a restaurant is like having a peeing section in a pool.
