My sister freaked out for the same reason. It doesn't take a lot of carrots to affect a baby's skin tone.
Now, if the baby turns yellow, that is an indication of jaundice.

Eating a lot of carrots actually CAN make the skin look orange. Try cutting back on how much carrot baby food you give him and see if it changes.
( But if the doctor didn't think there was anything wrong with your child, why are you asking US?)

My son had the same problem, it is because all the baby food had carrots in it. Try taking some of the carrots out of his diet and his skin color will improve.

Don't worry! The same thing happened with my daughter when she was a baby. It is the carotene in orange vegetables. Carrots, squash, etc. Her favorite was squash. It doesn't hurt them at all. She is 32 now! It will go away when his diet includes a greater variety of foods.

carrots can definitely make his skin look orange. if you've already had him checked by the doctor, i wouldn't worry about it. try stopping giving him carrots for a few weeks jus to see what happens. otherwise ask the doctor about it and see what they say.

I made my babies home made food...carrots did turn their skin orangey. Just lighten up on carrots and the coloring will lighten up as well. Don't worry.

Don't worry about what other people say, unless the doctor said something. People say off hand remarks and not even realize it can hurt or make another person worry.

dont worry! my daughter had the same complexion. its from baby food...most of it has an orangish color to it and just causes the skin to turn that color...there is absolutely nothing wrong with your baby.

It can take years for babies to reach their true skin colour. Just be patient. Congrats and good luck!
