Once upon a time there was a handsome, wildly intelligent 911 dispatcher and an attractive, witty gas station attendant. They both worked 3rd shift,, sharing their innermost selves for two years. What started as a series of late night phone conversations grew into constant companionship.

Their lives merged and separated for unbearable lengths of time more than once, but they never lost eachother. They'd seen eachother through marriages, divorces, deaths and births. They've done for eachother things that not even most close friends would consider.

Twenty years later they still love one another very much. But they've never even kissed even though they've both wanted to. Only the fates will determine when it's morally right.

This story won't be over for a long time, God willing. He's halfway through Mississippi by now and should be here by supper time. It's going to be a bittersweet weekend.

Another month like the past five and I will be drinking French Toast for breakfast. I fortunately have a fully stocked bar and up until tomorrow (yes, I mean tomorrow, not today) rarely drink. Being out of work and broke stinks. Here is my breakfast for the homebound champion.

Mix ingredients, the shot should taste like a piece of French Toast.
