I have my 18 yr old son coming from Texas for two weeks on the 8th, this is his first time to Florida & this is only our first year here. Im wondering what there is that we can do that doesnt cost alot of money. I have 3 other teenage sons here as well, so I know Disney tickets would be very expensive for a family of 5. So is there anything else we can do that is just as fun & cost, say ALOT less? We live in the Brandon/Tampa area....so anything close to this area would be good...thanks

LOL@collecting shells. Hes 18 and his a boy. LOL! that was cute.

Anyways you can go to the beach!! and go rollerskating on the side walk. also at night the boardwalks are fun. there are also natural waters round that you guys can go to and chill. Community Baseball games are very cheap. sometimes free. Movies are cheap. go to your county website they have alot of activies that are going on during the summer.

I hope this helps. HAVE FUN!

Collecting shells (I've made some georgeous earrings with them!), looking for shark's teeth (very cool necklaces), you could drive to Casadega -- it's a teeny village made up entirely of Mediums and get a "reading" (that's pretty novel!), you could go to St. Augustine's and do the tourist thing -- it's very beautiful there (it's the oldest city in America!).....
