Why don't you read the Constitution? If Joseph McCarthy were around today you'd be just the kind of guy to support him. Dissent makes this country stronger - Don't like dissent? Move to Russia...you'd fit in.

So the solution is this in your mind. If you cannot face adversity you should expect the adversary to go away. Are you afraid of your adversary? Are you afraid someone will expose you for your real self? Are you scared to death that your adversary might actually be right and that would be a fate worse than death for you, wouldn't it?

So you think anyone who dosen't agree letter for letter with YOU hates America. If you knew anything about America, which you obviously don't you would know we are a demcratic republic. The first part of that is very important, so pay attention. Democracy, from which the democratic part derives, thrives on dissent and difference of opinion. Totalitarianism (dictatorship) depends on absolute agreement with the leader. You may prefer a totalitarian government. You are, of course free to go to any totalitarian regime you would like, actually I prefer you stay here as a member of the loyal opposition, the dissention that exists in a free and democratic society.

God Bless America, a democratic republic.

Liberals don't hate America...wanting to change some things for the better doesn't mean we hate America...it means we love the country so much that we want it to be and do better. I know that it might take more effort than closing our eyes, putting our fingers in our ears and pretending everything is fine...but we love our country so much that we are willing to put in the work.

It is precisely why liberals and progressives love the US so much that we stay and fight the evil neo-con fascists from turning the USA into a Mussolini lead Italy or a Hitler lead Germany of the early 40s. We know that is the ultimate goal of the neo-con fascists posing as the Republican party.

Most liberals don't hate America. Think about it, it they hated America, and they hate the current president/administration/war, they wouldn't they support them to make America worse?

The truth is that many who participates in the democratic process by engaging in debate and change are doing so because they love the US and the democratic principles it was built on. No matter which side you take, by participating in the debate you are strengthening the democratic process which enables the US to be so great.

The old adages "My country, right or wrong" or "America, love it or leave it" are right wing sayings. They believe it makes more sense to run away from wrongs they see, than to stay, speak out and try to fix it.
Once again, LIBERALS DON'T HATE AMERICA.
It seems to many that blindly following a man who has led us to war is patriotic. Just because he is the president doesn't make him right.

I would probably be considered a liberal, but I love this country and everything we have had to fight for what was right.

On the other hand conservatives want to take all the freedoms that we have fought so hard to create and throw them away. Liberals are just interested in making this country better than it is and conservatives are only in it for making their pocketbooks fatter.

Liberals see the vision of what this country was meant to be, and what it could be. We love our country deeply, and mourn for what greedy capitalist conservatives are making of the American dream. For some reason we still have hope that it can be saved.
