1. do you put concealer or foundation on first?

*Always put concealer on first, that way you won't use too much foundation.

2. whats the best technique for putting on concealer and foundation?

*Invest in some good make-up brushes. There actually is a special brush just for concealer. I also use make-up wedges to apply foundation. It's best to not use your hands, but if you do, make sure you wash them before and after applying make-up. Also: blend, blend, blend. You want it to look as natural as possible! Keep this in mind.

3. how do I make my lipstick last if I do not have the 8-hour stuff?

*Apply foundation (in a pinch) to your lips before applying your lipstick. This should help it last longer!

4. how do I keep my lipstick from running?

*Although I'm not a lipstick wearer, but I have always heard to wear lipliner that matches your lipstick shade.

5. whats the best way to put on eyeliner? [the pencil stuff]

*I'll tell you that I feel automatic eyeliner (the kind you don't need to sharpen) is best. Just follow your lash line. You need a steady hand and alot of patience at first...you will get the hang of it!

6. whats the best way to put on eyeshadow?

*Again, here's where those make-up brushes come in handy. If you want just a wash of color, pick a sheer neutral shade and apply it all the way to your brow bone. To put a darker color with it, get a contour brush and apply it to the crease.

= ) Good luck and I hope I helped a bit!!

Put your concealer on blemishes and undereye bags. To do this, you put a dot on the blemish and then (with a Q-tip) blend it until the redness is nearly invisible. For undereye bags, put about three-four dabs of concealer on the dark part, then blend with your finger.

With foundation, you can apply it easily with your fingers (if it is the liquid kind) by blending it in circular motions.

For your lipstick to last longer, you should buff your lips with a toothbrush to make them smooth so the lipstick will not clump. Apply the lipstick, then pat it off (not all the way, there will still be color.) Then put on another coat. I will much more likely stay on longer.

Apply lipliner.

The best way to put on eyeliner to the top lid is by closing one eye (the eye you will apply the eyeliner to) and to make sure the eye doesn't wrinkle when applying, hold it down by pressing on your eyelashes to your undereye. Line the eye precisely, but smudge with a Q-tip so it doesn't look so harsh. It's pretty much the same with the bottom lashes. It depends on what style you like for what your eyeliner is supposed to look like.

The best way to put on eyeshadow (do this before you put on eyeliner) is to pat it into your eye and never rub. You can make the color intense or less intense by the amount you apply.

An extra tip is when you put on mascara, use no more than 1-2 coats and if you have short, straight eyelashes, always use an eyelash curler.

1. Always put on concealer first.
2. I would use Bare Minerals System. If you dont want to go out and spend $40 right now then use a concealer brush. THen lightly LIGHTLY sweep the foundation across the face. Make sure it is well blended. (no lines around the jaw).
3. Put on chap stick first. (i dont wear lipstick)
4. I Dont know. where a little gloss because lip gloss always makes you look more fresh.
5. Depends on the eye shape. Almond- You can put it LIGHTLY around the eye. On top of the lashes and below. Not a thick line. Make it look like a natural line of the eye. Round eyes- only on the top. Very light. Extend the eyeliner slightly to make eye look more almond shaped.
6. Use an eyeshadow brush. Place the color you want in the crease of your eye. Then put a neutral color on the lid over your eyeliner, and under your crease, so the liner doesnt look so harsh. Then put a lighter color under the brow to lift the brow. a little shimmer is ok. (but not glitter). This color is usually cream, white, etc...
Hope This Helps!

if you just started wearing makeup, you probably don't need all of this stuff. simplicity is best. personally, i like concealer when i've got zits, eyeliner, eyeshadow, and lipgloss. but...

1. don't use foundation all the time, because u prob don't need it and it's bad for your skin. however, it's concealer then foundation.

2. dab on concealer, wait a few seconds, then dab and rub with a puff. PLEASE don't use too much foundation! and when using, make sure you go all the way to the ends of your face or you'll look like you're wearing a mask.

3. lipliner underneath, but lipgloss is best for everyday wear.

4. uhh reapply? it also helps to put on clear gloss over it, and gives it a more 3-dimentional tone.

5. personally, i prefer to wear it under my lower lashes instead of between the lashes and the eye, but it works either way. and stay away from the top of your lids, because it's really easy to mess up. try the smooth glide from cover girl, because pencils hurt too.

6. not over the crease in your lid unless you're fading a brown or tan. and be sure to do it before mascara or you'll have dusty lashes.

once again- simplicity is key. you can look great with just eye makeup, or a bold lip color instead of everything at once.

1. Concealer goes first...foundation will even it up for you.

2. For concealer use your weak finger to dab- foundation, try using a sponge.

3. To make it last, apply face powder on your lips then a good amount of lipstick, dap with a tissue and reapply--- don't forget to use liner, which can be use all over the lip area, so that when you lipstick wears out, the liner is there to cover you until you next application.

4. First dab face powered on your lips, then line.

5. apply liner by holding the pencil gently and resting the ball of your hands on your face for balance...do it slowly and follow the outer edges of you eyes...
"putting eyeliner inside the bottom part, makes your eyes look smaller.

6. Eye shadow can be treaky if you don't know what you are doing, the key is to blend...so spend good money on good brushes, and blend, blend blend...What I do is apply the shawdow on my eye lid, the way I want the colors to go, then I blend it.

1. do you put concealer or foundation on first?
concealer then foundation

2. whats the best technique for putting on concealer and foundation? dab the concealer on with your sponge, if it's cream use your ring finger to apply it. With either liquid or cream you can dab it on in places (3 dabs across forehead, two on each side of face, and one dab at chin) then smooth with a sponge. I use Bare Mineral, you apply it with a custom brush (it's so much simpler, better coverage, and better for your skin).

3. how do I make my lipstick last if I do not have the 8-hour stuff? Use lip conditioner first, apply your lipstick, then put one sheet of toilet paper over your lips and with a brush, brush over it with facial powder (or mineral veil). If you like this matted look then leave it. If you want some shine, add gloss. If you want more color then add more ontop of this.

4. how do I keep my lipstick from running? lipliner that goes with the color of you lipstick, or clear that has moisturizers in it.

5. whats the best way to put on eyeliner? [the pencil stuff] apply it on top and bottom as close to your eyelashes as possible.. hint (you can wet most darker eye colors and use the edge of an applicator to apply it close to your eyelashes.

6. whats the best way to put on eyeshadow? there are so many ways to put on eyeshadow. Depends upon the look you want to achieve. Simple: have at least two colors; one a soft first layer (colors can range from white to cream/sand can have sparkles in it) and one the color that enhances you eye color. Apply the first color over your whole eye, up to the brow bone. Then apply the color to your crease and bottom section of your eyelid. I provided a link that has some eye tips.

You all forgot to mention the first thing to do before applying concealer, then foundation... MOISTURIZE! Aside from moisturizing your face, it helps with the application of foundation. After moisturizer, wait 5 minutes before applying foundation so your skin absorbs it well.

As for lipstick, what I do to make it last:
apply lipliner all over lips
apply first layer of lipstick, blot with a tissue
apply second layer of lipstick, blot with a tissue
and if you want, apply a dot of lip gloss in the middle of bottom lip

Make sure both lipliner and lipstick match.

1) Foundation & concealer - it can go either way - some say foundation 1st, others say concealer 1st.

Frankly, I think it depends on what you are trying to conceal. For undereye circles, I say apply concealer 1st & then softly blend foundation over it. If you are trying to conceal a zit, apply foundation and then concealer over it softening the edges to blend in w/ the foundation.

2) Lipstick - one trick is to apply it, then apply face powder & then apply another coat of lipstick. It works but I care for this method. I prefer to apply lip liner all over my lips very lightly & then apply a matching lip color over it. (i.e. Outline my lips & then work inward a bit. Use my finger to blend the liner all over to soften it and then apply the lipstick.)

3) Lipstick shouldn't run - change your formula or apply a thinner layer & apply it slightly w/in the border of your lip line and then tap/rub it onto the edges.
