I have a 78 Fiat X-1/9 Bertone that I recently got out of storage. It sat in the Phoenix, AZ baking heat (car cover did not cover tires) for 18 months. Now it feels like it's going over slight bumps in the road all the time, AND the new-ish tires are severly worn on the front (inside) Did the tires get melted flat where it sat for so long? I don't think I've got even a couple thousand miles on them & I think they may need replacing already ! they are alarmingly worn on the inner 2 inches--as in almost no tread depth --ie almost bald! (insert swear words here--the tires weren't cheap!) Any ideas?

If the tires are wearing on one side, outside or inside it's normally a pretty good indication that you need to get your front wheels aligned or tracked.
She'll continue to eat tires until you do.
You gotta replace the tires first though, to get an accurate setting, so try to get the tires replaced and tracking done in the same place or at the very least, same day.

Hope that helps ya...

ps. to maintain good condition, check your tire pressures every week.
Incorrect tire pressure is a safety issue and could cause an accident. It also adversly affects the fuel consumption...

Sounds like a serious alignment problem. Was the front end aligned when you bought the tires?? If it was, you must have hit something pretty bad to make the alignment go off that way. I would take it back to where you bought the tires although I doubt if they will give you any kind of credit but it won't hurt to ask.

As most have suggested, the issue is probably the alignment (at least the cause of the tire wear, and the wear is likely the cause of the bumping). However, it should be added, that it does not sound like these are "newish" tires. Tires degrade over time as a result of heat and UV exposure, not only due to milage. So while they may only have a few thousand miles of road wear, it sounds like they have at least 2 years of age.

Cap Moons cannot be defined by Dad troubles. My Dad was /is the best,he has Cap Moon too. There were more girls in my family than boys and Dad raised the bar on any future males in his girls life. First off he loved ,respected my Mother and it was obvious he adored her,and he made sure his girls understood how valuable we were. We had a family business,so unlike many, the children were scheduled in to work as well.I wasn't initially happy until he started giving me a paycheck at 9 years old. So, my Dad was always around teaching us about business. It was definitely a close family . I had Great Parents Those definition you read about don't define my Moon or Sun,My household as well as my outside community was very unique,my childhood includes many noted influential role models that were part of our lives. As a child you really don't see how blessed you are,but as an adult ,I could not have asked for a better foundation..I learned so much from my Dad and he took the time to make sure,we were ready for the world and had the right tools for success. Cap Moon for me is not about divorce Oh My Man is the same, Libra Sun and Cap Moon as my Dad,not intentionally because we met as tots..more like soul mates.

you need to replace the tires and have your alignment checked, it may be out of adjustment to the point the car is eating the tires.

Out of alignment. Both front wheels are "toed" in. Possible tie rod issues.
