The Spanish colluded to pull out of the American Stock Exchange, causing it and the banks to fall into debt and crash. This lead to banks not being able to give their depositors money, or cash paychecks.

i'm pretty sure the stock market crashed, but to be sure look it up- you could google the date or the term "black tuesday"

uh...the beginning of the great depression ...the economy/stock market crashed, people rushed the banks to get their money and the doors where closed...all sorts of stuff started on that day....maybe you should look it up...please be careful tho' you might learn something
